We had a very
interesting Skype session on Thursday! When my class and I spoke with Indian
children in English, we learnt a lot of interesting things.
India consists of 29 states. These children live in a small town with 300000 people in it. They said that a lot of animals live in the city, some of them are: foxes, buffalos and even elephants. We were shocked when the children said that in India the weather was fine and it is +25 degrees in Celsius. They were smiled when we said that we had some snow and -5 degrees in Celsius.
They also told us about their school. Children always have 8 lessons a day. But they call them periods. Their lessons start at 7:25 and continue until 13:30. But the lessons last 40 minutes. In every class there are around 60 students.
In the end of our conversation, we sang our anthems to each other. An Indian anthem is a poem which was written by R. Tagore. The words of the anthem tell us about the beauty of nature, blossoming trees, huge rivers.
It was very interesting to speak with Indian children and I hope we will have an opportunity to Skype them again.

pen-friends. Their national animal is the Bengal Tiger. In the area where our
friends live you can see monkeys, dogs, cats and elephants. There are a lot of
wild animals: elephants, scorpions and snakes.
In India there is no snow. Now it is +28C in the town. In India summer is practically all the year round.
