We participated in a
Skype session with our new friends from India on December 17.
My classmates and I made new friends and we learnt many new things about India.
India consists of 29 states. Our friends from India live in a town called Kharagpur. The population of the town is over 300 000 people.
The symbol of India is Bengal tiger. In Kharagpur there are a lot of rabbits, monkeys, cows, cats, dogs. In the forest, which is near the town, there are a lot of wild animals: snakes, tigers, elephants, monkeys, spiders and scorpions.
Every child in India goes to school. The school is very big and there are a lot of classrooms. In one class there are about 60 students. They have 8 lessons every day and their lessons are over at 13:30. Their lessons last for 40 minutes.
As I know, on Friday, December 18 , their holidays begin. They will come back to school on January 4, 2016.
Besides, children sang us the anthem of India, which was written by Rabindrahanath Tagoreand, and the anthem of their school. Both anthems are very sweet and melodic. I listened to them with pleasure.
All in all, I am happy that we connected with children from India, because I learnt a lot of new facts about India and its traditions and got to know such sweet children.

In schools children usually have 8 lessons a day. There are a lot of large classrooms . In class usually study 60-65 children.
In Kharagpur you can see a lot of animals, such as cows, rabbits, goats, monkeys and even elefants. In the nearest forest you can see deers, foxes and tigers. There are also many insects, such as flies, butterflies, bees, spiders and wasps.There are a lot of snakes and scorpions, which are very dangerous.

Some people say, that Indian pepole eat a lot of spicy food.That is not that true. They eat spicy food, but only for holidays. Simple food is not that spicy.
All in all, this skyping was great. I knew a lot of about Indian culture, traditions, food and many many other things.
